There are many different reasons why people love coming here, and for your journey, you can choose between the free ferries that run every few minutes, your own or a rented bicycle, one of the many bus lines, or a car.

Ferry

The Älvsnabbare 286 ferry is free and runs every few minutes between Stenpiren → Lindholmspiren, the journey takes only 6 minutes.

Line 287 is free and operates Monday-Friday between the stops Stenpiren → Lundbystrand.

The Älvsnabben 285 ferry runs between Lilla Bommens Hamn → Stenpiren → Lindholmspiren → Slottsberget → Eriksbergs färjeläge. The journey is paid for with a Västtrafik ticket.

Tram

Tram lines 10 & 12 run to the Lindholmen stop. Tram 12 takes 9 minutes to reach the Central Station.

Cyklist

Bicycle

The easiest way to get here from the city center is to take the Götaälv Bridge and then follow the signs towards Lindholmen, which runs parallel to Lundbyleden. The trip from Gothenburg Central Station takes about 20 minutes. It's also convenient to cycle to one of the ferry terminals and take your bike on the ferry to Lindholmen. Once in Lindholmen, you'll also find Styr & ställ bikes available for rent for any duration.

Bus

Route 16/16x departs every third minute during the morning and afternoon rush hour. Travel time from the Nordstan (Central Station) bus stop to Lindholmen is 6–8 minutes. You can also take buses 31, 45, 55, 58, 99, 121, 176 and 177.

Vy flygbuss

Airport bus

The Vy airport buses' line between Lindholmen and Landvetter is already a popular choice for travelers who want to get to the airport quickly and comfortably. The bus departs every 30 minutes for most of the day, and the travel time is approximately 40 minutes.

By car

Due to ongoing construction we recommend that you travel here by public transport. If you must drive here, the journey takes only 5–10 minutes by car from the central station.

From Götaälv Bridge or Tingstad Tunnel
Exit toward Lindholmen/N Älvstranden at Lindholmsmotet. Then follow the signs to Lindholmen.

From the E6, E20 or highway 45
Exit toward Lindholmen/N Älvstranden at Lindholmsmotet. Then follow the signs to Lindholmen.

From Älvsborg Bridge and Torslanda​
Drive toward Norra Älvstranden through the Lundby Tunnel. The exit toward Lindholmen is at the end of the tunnel. Then follow the signs to Lindholmen.
